I am definitely changing the format to new Header Sunday!
My previous very brief post was my first video attempt. Figuring out how to do video was much more difficult than it had to be. To explain that I must make a confession.
One of my favorite features of the 5d mark ii is the info screen. It made setting changes so easy I did not need to carry the manuel with me. So I put it away somewhere. Just where… I do not know. So I had to learn how to use the video without any written instructions. After what seemed like days of online searching (hours at least). I found how to make videos. More hours to figure out view them, then how to upload to You-tube and Facebook and this blog. I am quite certain a few minutes reading my manuel would have saved me hours of on line research and trial and error.
The next giant learning leap (too big to be a curve), was that making the movie on the largest image created 8 min long vids that are 1.9 gigs.
News flash for those like me who have never uploaded to You-tube before: 1.9 gigs of upload takes 11 hours on cable.
I can see there is much to learn in this new moving image format. I will post the You-tube link to that giant video if it ever finishes uploading.

Perhaps I should be doing new header Sundays. I don’t seem to find the time on Fridays. The new header is Boston Sky line from my March trip to Boston For Photoshop World.

There are many benefits to organizing competitions. Well there maybe a few benefits. But in the Case of The Great New England Digital Shootout, it is not having to pick the winners. Since the particiapants in the competition are the jurors, they have that responsibility. In this competition it is going to be quite difficult. The caliber of work is outstanding.
